Sure, money is great, but sometimes blogging brings other kind of profits.
For me, my blogging in the past four (almost five) years has brought me many different kinds, that’s for sure.
1. Sure, money is great. I’ve made some money off this blog (not this iteration) in the form of ads sold. I’m still figuring out how ads will appear on this blog, but for sure, it’s a great way to make some income from your writing.
2. The referrals have been better. This blog has earned me some very nice referrals and I’m so grateful to those who have referred my blogging or writing skills to their colleagues. Thank you!
3. The growth in my writing and business skills has been the best of all. I’ve learned to flex various writing muscles and boy, are they sure strong now. Almost overwhelming other writing muscles, so now I’m trying to keep them all flexed at the same strength (hard work!). And my business grows in leaps and bounds and I learn things that I thought I had already learned or thought I wouldn’t have to learn more than once. It’s a good thing!
What things have you received as a profit from your blogging? I would urge you to consider how much you’ve “benefited” from your blogging in other terms than just monetary. It is really cool.

Connections with people who are working on similar projects or have shared goals. They’re not going to hire me, but I benefit from the conversation!
Alexis, that’s a great profit from a blog! Way better than monetary (which is nice, but real connections are worth so much more!)
Thanks for posting!
