I like what Danielle LaPorte wrote on Twitter today, “more often than not, YOU are your target market. then, how do you want to be related to?”
That is the essence of communication strategies, I think.
Certainly there are better ways to pick a communication strategy, but it all really comes down to our gut. We’re human beings after all. What about the strategy resonates with us?
Think about your social media, for instance. How you use it speaks volumes to others. Is there any way you’re using it that you would like to improve? That you can pinpoint as something you’re not happy with? There’s where you should probably start.
The gurus may disagree with me, but I’m not really interested in exchanging opinions with gurus. They can make money on their own blogs. I’m looking at the idea of communication strategy from the viewpoint of where I stand: real and brilliant.
I already have some ideas, which I am implementing already (frequency of posts, presence daily on the blogs, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn) that is a strategy I would like other people to use with me.
What about you?
